About us

Impacts is a web-based dashboard and simulator that blends NASA Near-Earth Object data with USGS environmental layers to explore asteroid impact scenarios. We prioritize credible physics, clear visuals, and accessibility for experts and the public alike.

NASA Space Apps Challenge

For the 2025 “Meteor Madness” challenge we build an interactive tool that integrates asteroid parameters (size, velocity, orbit) with USGS context to model consequences—craters, shaking, tsunamis—and to compare mitigation strategies such as kinetic impactors and gravity tractors.

Our mission

Make asteroid risk understandable and actionable for scientists, policymakers, and communities: simulate, visualize, and share scenarios that support preparedness and transparent decision-making.
